My Story

My name is Grace McNabb and I am based in the Atlanta area. I am a third year Industrial Design student minoring in Psychology at the Georgia Institute of Technology with hopes to go into the UI/UX field of design.

Starting my first year of college at GT, I knew I had a passion for design and that I wanted to be able to make products that were purposeful and made an impact. I had started my Industrial Design career with the intention of going into product and furniture design, but found a love for the idea of perception and the brain and how we can design products to be user friendly and intuitive.

This past year, I have spent my time studying Psychology along with Industrial Design, and was given the opportunity to work as an intern at Kimberly-Clark, where I was able to combine my expertise in 3D modeling and rendering with material/texture perception research.

Through this internship, I learned what people gravitate towards psychologically and I have found a passion for the user experience and interaction and how we can design intuitive and meaningful products.

I hope to continue to gain experience in the UI/UX design and research field to help companies appeal to their audience and make products that are the best fit for consumers.
